Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or equivalent examinations-2013 and the candidates passed in the previous year's examination will be able to register as HSC / equivalent examination in 2018 as a private examine. For registration examine should follow the rules below:

1. Apart from the renewal of registration, private candidates will have to participate in HSC examinations-2018 as per the 2018 syllabus. The rules for conducting examinations conducted by the Board will also apply to private candidates.
2. The private candidate will have to participate in the test examinations by the Board on one of the following calls but who is a teacher, police, ‍serving in defense forces and physical or vision impaired private candidate have not to participate in the test examination. List of selected colleges are given below:

• Govt. Shahid Sohrowardi College, Laxmibazar, Dhaka
• Govt. Bangla College, Mirpur, Dhaka
• Govt. Begum Badrunnesa Mahila College, Dhaka
• Govt. Tularam College, Narayangonj
• Govt. Horoganga College, Munshigonj
• Govt. Devendra College, Manikgonj
• Govt. Bhawal Badre Alam College, Gazipur
• Govt. Norsingdi College, Norsingdi
• Govt. Netrokona College, Netrokona
• Govt. Muminunnisa Mahila College, Mymensing
• Govt. Ananda Mohan College, Mymensing
• Govt. Gurudoyal College, Kishorgongj
• Govt. Ashek Mahmood College, Jamalpur
• Govt. Sherpur College, Sherpur
• Govt. Kumodini College, Tangail
• Nagpur Govt. College, Nagpur, Tangail
• Govt. Yasin College, Faridpur
• Govt. Shariatpur College, Shariatpur
• Govt. Nazim Uddin College, Madaripur
• Govt. Rajbari College, Rajbari
• Govt. Banga Bondhu College, Gopalgonj
• Sheikh Kholifa Bin Jayed Bangladesh Islamia School and College, Abudabhi

The college that is registered with private candidates will participate in the Higher Secondary Examination for the college fixed center. Candidate cannot change their center.

Private candidates can only be examined in Humanities, Business Education and Islamic Education Studies. 

In matters where there are practical tests (except information and communication technology), they can not participate in all subjects or subject. They can not participate in the 4th subject or optional subject.
